  28.    Who knows about using AMOSPro and printers? 
  29.    I use our A1200 '030 here at work with an HP Laserjet 5L (using a LaserJet
  30. driver) and it doesn't seem possible to use embedded commands to alter, for
  31. example, output from elite to pica, or double strike, etc.. Printer Send
  32. (after printer open) works a little better than Lprint, but not much (ie it
  33. only variably pays attention to the printer preferences). There also seem to
  34. be some really strange bugs; eg :

  36. printer open
  37. a$="Test" : printer send A$
  38.  
  39. works, but:
  40. printer open : printer send "Test"
  41.  
  42. doesn't, it prints nothing to the screen. Further,
  43.  
  44. printer open : printer send test$ : printer send test$ : printer send test$
  45. :...
  46.  
  47. only prints the first string!

  49. P.S. I just downloaded and tried the Jd extension; alas to no avail, similar
  50. problems exist. Is this just my printer/driver combination?
